Hurricane Open in Dunlap, Tennessee – it was a tale of Queens…
26. September, 2019
The Hurricane Open was, by the looks of it, a very successful event, with no less than 6 tasks in 7 days. It’s almost standard fare to see the Queen 2 on the top of the podiums these days, but this event was something special even in the annals of Queen 2 comp success; top
First World Cup exposure – Michele Boschi and Gambit impress
16. September, 2019
It’s all very well to have made a big splash in a relatively small pond (Czech, Slovak and Lithuanian Open), it’s a different kettle of fish to jump into the ocean and do the same – and we were as keen to see how it went as most of you out there! As it turned
Gambit CCC wing – first official win!
13. September, 2019
The grand Macedonian Gambit debacle was very disappointing for us here at Triple Seven – so we were super stoked when our local ace Primoz Susa asked to fly the Gambit in the Slovenian leg of the Czech, SLovak and Lithuanian Open, which took place in our “back yard” here in Tolmin/Slovenia. Primoz flew in
And finally, closer to home…
26. June, 2019
While Levico Terme is still almost home turf for the Triple Seven crew, the Applegate Open was certainly a wee bit more exotic – but we also had a comp running in our own back yard, the Naviter Open in Tolmin/Slovenia. A much more diverse field, with pilots from all over the world, “luck” still
More Queen 2 news from the comps scene
26. June, 2019
We’d only just hung up the phone after speaking to Triple Seven USA Mr. Jaro Krupa about the Applegate Open when the phone rang again, this time with Pawel Faron (Triple Seven Poland) at the other end. He was equally excited to tell us that Alexey Milko had flown his Queen 2 into 2. place
The winner takes it all…
26. June, 2019
Ever since the queens of pop (Agneta and Anni-Frid – the two A’s in ABBA) made it clear to us sometime in the seventies, ever since then we’ve all known that the winner takes it all – now the winner is a new Queen, the Queen 2!! Recent events around the world have made it
Q-light in the Red Bull X-Alps
10. June, 2019
Marko Hrgetic from Croatia is a special friend of Triple Seven – he’s just the kind of pilot we admire, with his independent style and immense commitment to his projects. In just a few short days he’ll be in Salzburg/Austria, lined up alongside the other top athletes of our sport for the Red Bull X-Alps
Paragliding Winter Cup 2019
8. March, 2019
The first “real” PG XC comp of the European season is the “Winter Cup” right here in our back yard. We sent our Swiss-army-knife colleague Matjaz, who flies hang gliders on a serious level, to compete in the event on a Queen 2. He was joined in the C-class by 4 other Queen 2 pilots,
Euro Accuracy Championships – Jaka Gorenc does it again!
25. September, 2018
The European Championships were held last week in our ‘hood (almost anyway), up in Kobarid* in the Soca Valley. Our skilled team pilot and friend Jaka Gorenc, currently leading the World Accuracy Ranking, was obviously there, and he came home with a silver medal! Jaka has flown the whole season on D-lights and Deck gliders
Jaka Gorenc is the King of Accuracy – on a Deck/D-Light
11. September, 2018
Just in time for the upcoming European Championship in accuracy, our team pilot Jaka Gorenc (SLO) has the pleasure of seeing his own name at the top of the CIVL accuracy World Ranking. Jaka flies the Deck and the D-Light, both EN A wings from Triple Seven. As in every other sport, the key to
